T hen Ishmael carried away captive all the rest of the people who were in Mizpah, the king’s daughters and all the people who remained in Mizpah, whom Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had committed to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam. And Ishmael the son of Nethaniah carried them away captive and departed to go over to the Ammonites.

Después Ismael tomó cautivo a todo el resto del pueblo que estaba en Mizpa, a las hijas del rey y a todo el pueblo que había quedado en Mizpa, a los cuales Nabuzaradán, capitán de la guardia, había puesto bajo el mando de Gedalías, hijo de Ahicam. Los tomó, pues, cautivos Ismael, hijo de Netanías, y fue a pasarse a los Amonitas.
