Jeremiah 38:9 ~ Jeremías 38:9

“ My lord the king, these men have done evil in all that they have done to Jeremiah the prophet, whom they have cast into the dungeon, and he is likely to die from hunger in the place where he is. For there is no more bread in the city.”

Mi señor el rey, mal hicieron estos varones en todo lo que han hecho con el profeta Jeremías, al cual hicieron echar en la cisterna; porque allí es probable que muera de hambre, pues no hay más pan en la ciudad.
