I t may be that the Lord your God will hear the words of the Rabshakeh, whom his master the king of Assyria has sent to reproach the living God, and will rebuke the words which the Lord your God has heard. Therefore lift up your prayer for the remnant that is left.’”

Poate că Domnul, Dumnezeul tău, a auzit cuvintele lui Rab-Şache, care a fost trimis de stăpânul său, împăratul Asiriei, pentru a-L batjocori pe Dumnezeul cel Viu şi poate că Domnul, Dumnezeul tău, îl va mustra pentru cuvintele pe care le-a auzit. De aceea înalţă o rugăciune pentru cei care au mai rămas!“
