T herefore I hated life because the work that was done under the sun was distressing to me, for all is vanity and grasping for the wind.

فَكَرِهْتُ الحَياةَ. أحْزَنَنِي جَميعُ ما عَمِلَهُ النّاسُ فِي هَذِهِ الدُّنْيا، لأنَّهُ زائِلٌ وَكَمُطارَدَةِ الرِّيحِ.
