T hen Haman said to King Ahasuerus, “There is a certain people scattered and dispersed among the people in all the provinces of your kingdom; their laws are different from all other people’s, and they do not keep the king’s laws. Therefore it is not fitting for the king to let them remain.

Allora Haman disse al re Assuero: «C'è un popolo disseminato e separato fra i popoli in tutte le province del tuo regno, le cui leggi sono diverse da quelle di ogni altro popolo e che non osserva le leggi del re, il re non ha perciò alcun vantaggio a lasciarli in vita.
