T he Philistines also had invaded the cities of the lowland and of the South of Judah, and had taken Beth Shemesh, Aijalon, Gederoth, Sochoh with its villages, Timnah with its villages, and Gimzo with its villages; and they dwelt there.

I Filistei pure avevano invaso le città della pianura e della regione meridionale di Giuda, e avevano preso Bet-Semes, Aialon, Ghederot, Soco e i villaggi che ne dipendevano, Timna e i villaggi che ne dipendevano, Ghimzo e i villaggi che ne dipendevano, e vi si erano stabiliti.
