Y et the Lord would not destroy the house of David, because of the covenant that He had made with David, and since He had promised to give a lamp to him and to his sons forever.

耶 和 華 卻 因 自 己 與 大 衛 所 立 的 約 ， 不 肯 滅 大 衛 的 家 ， 照 他 所 應 許 的 ， 永 遠 賜 燈 光 與 大 衛 和 他 的 子 孫 。
