A nd when Asa heard these words and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and removed the abominable idols from all the land of Judah and Benjamin and from the cities which he had taken in the mountains of Ephraim; and he restored the altar of the Lord that was before the vestibule of the Lord.

Când a auzit aceste cuvinte şi această profeţie a lui Azaria, fiul profetului Oded, Asa s-a îmbărbătat şi a îndepărtat urâciunile din toată ţara lui Iuda, a lui Beniamin şi din cetăţile pe care le cuceriseră în regiunea muntoasă a lui Efraim. El a înnoit altarul Domnului care se afla înaintea porticului de la Casa Domnului.
