T hus King Rehoboam strengthened himself in Jerusalem and reigned. Now Rehoboam was forty-one years old when he became king; and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city which the Lord had chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, to put His name there. His mother’s name was Naamah, an Ammonitess.

Se fortaleció, pues, el rey Roboam en Jerusalén, y reinó. Roboam tenía cuarenta y un años cuando comenzó a reinar, y reinó diecisiete años en Jerusalén, la ciudad que el Señor había escogido de entre todas las tribus de Israel para poner allí Su nombre. Y el nombre de su madre era Naama, la Amonita.
