W hen the people of Ammon saw that they had made themselves repulsive to David, Hanun and the people of Ammon sent a thousand talents of silver to hire for themselves chariots and horsemen from Mesopotamia, from Syrian Maacah, and from Zobah.

Fiii lui Amon au văzut că se făcuseră urîţi lui David, şi Hanun şi fiii lui Amon au trimes o mie de talanţi de argint să tocmească în slujba lor cară şi călăreţi dela Sirienii din Mesopotamia şi dela Sirienii din Maaca şi din Ţoba.
