S o Hazael went to meet him and took a present with him, of every good thing of Damascus, forty camel-loads; and he came and stood before him, and said, “Your son Ben-Hadad king of Syria has sent me to you, saying, ‘Shall I recover from this disease?’”

Tomó, pues, Hazael en sus manos un presente de entre los bienes de Damasco, cargados en cuarenta camellos, y fue a su encuentro. Al llegar, se detuvo ante él y le dijo: —Tu hijo Ben-adad, rey de Siria, me ha enviado a preguntarte: “¿Sanaré de esta enfermedad?”
