N ow the king had appointed the officer on whose hand he leaned to have charge of the gate. But the people trampled him in the gate, and he died, just as the man of God had said, who spoke when the king came down to him.

Ora, o rei havia posto o oficial em cujo braço tinha se apoiado como encarregado da porta da cidade, mas quando o povo saiu, atropelou-o junto à porta, e ele morreu, conforme o homem de Deus havia predito quando o rei foi à sua casa.
