S o they went and called to the gatekeepers of the city, and told them, saying, “We went to the Syrian camp, and surprisingly no one was there, not a human sound—only horses and donkeys tied, and the tents intact.”

Fueron, pues, llamaron a los guardias de la puerta de la ciudad, y les gritaron diciendo: «Nosotros fuimos al campamento de los sirios y no había allí nadie, ni se oía ninguna voz humana; sólo estaban los caballos atados, los asnos también atados y el campamento intacto.»
