T hen the city wall was broken through, and all the men of war fled at night by way of the gate between two walls, which was by the king’s garden, even though the Chaldeans were still encamped all around against the city. And the king went by way of the plain.

Como ya se había abierto una brecha en la muralla de la ciudad, todos los hombres de guerra huyeron durante la noche; salieron por el camino de la puerta que estaba entre los dos muros, junto a los huertos del rey, a pesar de que los caldeos rodeaban la ciudad; el rey se fue por el camino del Arabá.
