A nd the king commanded Hilkiah the high priest, the priests of the second order, and the doorkeepers, to bring out of the temple of the Lord all the articles that were made for Baal, for Asherah, and for all the host of heaven; and he burned them outside Jerusalem in the fields of Kidron, and carried their ashes to Bethel.

Le roi ordonna à Hilkija, le souverain sacrificateur, aux sacrificateurs du second ordre, et à ceux qui gardaient le seuil, de sortir du temple de l'Éternel tous les ustensiles qui avaient été faits pour Baal, pour Astarté, et pour toute l'armée des cieux; et il les brûla hors de Jérusalem, dans les champs du Cédron, et en fit porter la poussière à Béthel.
