B y your messengers you have reproached the Lord, And said: “By the multitude of my chariots I have come up to the height of the mountains, To the limits of Lebanon; I will cut down its tall cedars And its choice cypress trees; I will enter the extremity of its borders, To its fruitful forest.

“Por mano de tus mensajeros has injuriado al Señor, y has dicho: ‘Con mis numerosos carros subí a las cumbres de los montes, a las partes más remotas del Líbano; corté sus altos cedros y sus mejores cipreses, y entré en su morada más lejana, en su más frondoso bosque.
