B ut the people held their peace and answered him not a word; for the king’s commandment was, “Do not answer him.”

لَكِنَّ الشَّعبَ لَزِمَ الصَّمْتَ. فَلَمْ يَرُدُّوا بِكَلِمَةٍ واحِدَةٍ عَلَى رَبْشاقِي حَسَبَ أمْرِ المَلِكِ حَزَقِيّا. فَقَدْ أمَرَهُمْ: «لا تَرُدُّوا عَلَيهِ.»
