‘ Since the day that I brought My people Israel out of Egypt, I have chosen no city from any tribe of Israel in which to build a house, that My name might be there; but I chose David to be over My people Israel.’

Desde o dia em que eu tirei do Egito o meu povo Israel, não escolhi cidade alguma de todas as tribos de Israel para se edificar ali uma casa em que estivesse o meu nome; porém escolhi a Davi, para que presidisse sobre o meu povo Israel.
