S o the king of Israel called all the elders of the land, and said, “Notice, please, and see how this man seeks trouble, for he sent to me for my wives, my children, my silver, and my gold; and I did not deny him.”

El rey de Israel convocó entonces a todos los ancianos del país, y les dijo: «¿Se dan cuenta de que ese rey está buscando perjudicarme? Me pidió que le entregara mis tesoros de plata y de oro, y hasta mis mujeres y mis hijos, ¡y no se los negué!»
