G o immediately to King David and say to him, ‘Did you not, my lord, O king, swear to your maidservant, saying, “Assuredly your son Solomon shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne“? Why then has Adonijah become king?’

Va, entre chez le roi David, et dis-lui: O roi mon seigneur, n'as-tu pas juré à ta servante, en disant: Salomon, ton fils, régnera après moi, et il s'assiéra sur mon trône? Pourquoi donc Adonija règne-t-il?
