A nd Ahimaaz the son of Zadok said again to Joab, “But whatever happens, please let me also run after the Cushite.” So Joab said, “Why will you run, my son, since you have no news ready?”

Ahimaats, figlio di Tsadok, disse di nuovo a Joab: «Qualunque cosa accada ti prego, lasciami correre dietro all'Etiope!». Joab gli disse: «Ma perché vorresti correre, figlio mio? Tanto non avrai alcuna ricompensa per la notizia che porti».
