T hen God spoke to Israel in the visions of the night, and said, “Jacob, Jacob!” And he said, “Here I am.”

وَفِي تِلْكَ اللَّيلَةِ كَلَّمَ اللهُ إسْرائِيلَ فِي حُلْمٍ فَقالَ لَهُ: «يَعقُوبُ، يَعْقُوبُ.» فَقالَ يَعقُوبُ: «سَمْعاً وَطاعَةً.»
