N ow my master made me swear, saying, ‘You shall not take a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, in whose land I dwell;

وَقَدِ اسْتَحلَفَنِي سَيِّدِي فَقالَ: ‹لا تَأْخُذْ لابْنِي زَوْجَةً مِنْ بَناتِ الكَنْعانِيِّينَ الَّذِينَ أسْكُنُ بَينَهُمْ.
