C uando el Cananeo, el rey de Arad, que habitaba en el Neguev (región del sur), oyó que Israel subía por el camino de Atarim, peleó contra Israel y le tomó algunos prisioneros.

And the Canaanite, the king of Arad, who dwelt in the South, heard tell that Israel came by the way of Atharim; and he fought against Israel, and took some of them captive.
