H ijos de Rubén, primogénito de Israel (aunque él era el primogénito, como profanó la cama de su padre, sus derechos de primogenitura fueron dados a los hijos de José, hijo de Israel; de modo que Rubén no está inscrito en la genealogía conforme a los derechos de primogenitura.

Now the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel (for he was the firstborn, but because he defiled his father’s bed, his birthright was given to the sons of Joseph the son of Israel; so that he is not enrolled in the genealogy according to the birthright.
