N ow Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, and the Philistines drew near to battle against Israel. But the Lord thundered with a great thunder on that day against the Philistines and confused them, so that they were routed before Israel.

În timp ce Samuel aducea arderea de tot, filistenii se apropiau ca să se lupte cu Israel. Domnul însă a tunat în ziua aceea cu un vuiet puternic împotriva filistenilor, aducând o aşa groază între ei, încât au fost puşi pe fugă dinaintea lui Israel.
