T hey sent therefore and gathered all the lords of the Philistines and said, “Send away the ark of the God of Israel, and let it return to its own place, so that it will not kill us and our people.” For there was a deadly confusion throughout the city; the hand of God was very heavy there.

Kështu mblodhën tërë pincat e Filistejve dhe u thanë: "Largojeni arkën e Perëndisë të Izraelit; ajo të kthehet në vendin e saj, që të mos shkaktojë vdekjen tonë dhe të popullit tonë!". Në fakt ishte përhapur një lemeri vdekjeprurëse në të gjithë qytetin, sepse dora e Perëndisë rëndonte shumë mbi të.
