T he Philistines drew up in battle array to meet Israel. When the battle spread, Israel was defeated before the Philistines who killed about four thousand men on the battlefield.

Les Philistins se rangèrent en bataille contre Israël, et le combat s'engagea. Israël fut battu par les Philistins, qui tuèrent sur le champ de bataille environ quatre mille hommes.
