W hen the men of Israel who were on the other side of the valley, with those who were beyond the Jordan, saw that the men of Israel had fled and that Saul and his sons were dead, they abandoned the cities and fled; then the Philistines came and lived in them.

Quando gli Israeliti che stavano dall’altra parte della valle e di là dal Giordano videro che la gente d’Israele si era data alla fuga e che Saul e i suoi figli erano morti, abbandonarono le città e fuggirono; e i Filistei andarono ad abitarle.
