D avid did not leave a man or a woman alive to bring to Gath, saying, “Otherwise they will tell about us, saying, ‘So has David done and so has been his practice all the time he has lived in the country of the Philistines.’”

Davide non lasciava in vita né uomo né donna da portare a Gat, poiché diceva: «Potrebbero parlare contro di noi e dire: “Così ha fatto Davide”». Questo fu il suo modo d’agire tutto il tempo che abitò nel paese dei Filistei.
