N ow, my father, see! Indeed, see the edge of your robe in my hand! For in that I cut off the edge of your robe and did not kill you, know and perceive that there is no evil or rebellion in my hands, and I have not sinned against you, though you are lying in wait for my life to take it.

Inoltre, padre mio, guarda; si, guarda nella mia mano il lembo del tuo mantello. Se ho tagliato il lembo del tuo mantello e non ti ho ucciso, puoi capire e renderti conto che non vi è nelle mie azioni né malvagità né ribellione e non ho peccato contro di te; ma tu mi tendi insidie per togliermi la vita!
