B ut the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

Pero el Señor le dijo: «No te dejes llevar por su apariencia ni por su estatura, porque éste no es mi elegido. Yo soy el Señor, y veo más allá de lo que el hombre ve. El hombre mira lo que está delante de sus ojos, pero yo miro el corazón.»
