S he made a vow and said, “O Lord of hosts, if You will indeed look on the affliction of Your maidservant and remember me, and not forget Your maidservant, but will give Your maidservant a son, then I will give him to the Lord all the days of his life, and a razor shall never come on his head.”

Fece un voto e disse: «O Signore degli eserciti, se hai riguardo all’afflizione della tua serva e ti ricordi di me, se non dimentichi la tua serva e dai alla tua serva un figlio maschio, io lo consacrerò al Signore per tutti i giorni della sua vita e il rasoio non passerà sulla sua testa».
