T hen Joshua called for them and spoke to them, saying, “Why have you deceived us, saying, ‘We are very far from you,’ when you are living within our land?

وَدَعا يَشُوعُ الجِبعُونِيِّينَ وَقالَ لَهُمْ: «لَماذا خَدَعتُمُونا بِقَولِكُمْ: ‹نَحنُ مِنْ أرْضٍ بَعِيدَةٍ.› فِي حِينِ أنَّكُمْ تَسكُنُونَ فِي وَسَطِنا؟
