B eware that there is no base thought in your heart, saying, ‘ The seventh year, the year of remission, is near,’ and your eye is hostile toward your poor brother, and you give him nothing; then he may cry to the Lord against you, and it will be a sin in you.

Ai grijă ca nu cumva să te gândeşti cu răutate în inima ta şi să spui: « Of, se apropie anul al şaptelea, anul iertării datoriilor!» şi ca nu cumva să priveşti cu ochi rău pe fratele tău nevoiaş şi să nu-l împrumuţi. Atunci el va striga către Domnul şi vei fi vinovat de păcat.
