J ohn was clothed with camel’s hair and wore a leather belt around his waist, and his diet was locusts and wild honey.

كانَتْ ثِيابُهُ مِنْ وَبَرِ الجِمالِ، وَعَلَى وَسْطِهِ حِزامٌ مِنْ جِلْدٍ، وَيَأكُلُ الجَرادَ وَالعَسَلَ البَرِّيَّ.
