W hen the donkey saw the angel of the Lord standing in the way with his drawn sword in his hand, the donkey turned off from the way and went into the field; but Balaam struck the donkey to turn her back into the way.

L'ânesse vit l'ange de l'Éternel qui se tenait sur le chemin, son épée nue dans la main; elle se détourna du chemin et alla dans les champs. Balaam frappa l'ânesse pour la ramener dans le chemin.
