T hen Israel struck him with the edge of the sword, and took possession of his land from the Arnon to the Jabbok, as far as the sons of Ammon; for the border of the sons of Ammon was Jazer.

Israel aber schlug ihn mit der Schärfe des Schwerts und nahm sein Land ein vom Arnon an bis an den Jabbok und bis an die Kinder Ammon; denn die Grenzen der Kinder Ammon waren fest.
