I t is to be a sabbath of solemn rest for you, that you may humble your souls; it is a permanent statute.

هَذا يَومُ راحَةٍ لَكُمْ، عَلَيكُمْ فِيهِ أنْ تُذَلِّلُوا أنفُسَكُمْ بِالصَّومِ. هَذِهِ شَرِيعَةٌ دائِمَةٌ لَكُمْ.
