Jeremiah 40:7 ~ Ieremia 40:7

N ow all the commanders of the forces that were in the field, they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had appointed Gedaliah the son of Ahikam over the land and that he had put him in charge of the men, women and children, those of the poorest of the land who had not been exiled to Babylon.

Cînd au aflat toate căpeteniile oştirilor cari rămăseseră pe cîmp, cu oamenii lor, că împăratul Babilonului a pus ca dregător al ţării pe Ghedalia, fiul lui Ahicam, şi că i -a încredinţat bărbaţii, femeile, copii, şi pe aceia din săracii ţării, cari nu fuseseră luaţi robi în Babilon,
