T hen all the officials came to Jeremiah and questioned him. So he reported to them in accordance with all these words which the king had commanded; and they ceased speaking with him, since the conversation had not been overheard.

Toţi conducătorii au venit la Ieremia şi l-au întrebat, iar el le-a zis toate cuvintele pe care regele i-a poruncit să le spună. Atunci ei nu i-au mai spus nimic, căci nici unul nu auzise discuţia cu regele.
