I s the axe to boast itself over the one who chops with it? Is the saw to exalt itself over the one who wields it? That would be like a club wielding those who lift it, Or like a rod lifting him who is not wood.

Se va lăuda oare securea înaintea celui ce o mânuieşte? Se va înălţa oare ferăstrăul mai presus de cel ce-l foloseşte? Ca şi cum nuiaua l-ar ridica pe cel ce o ridicã, sau ca şi cum toiagul ar ridica pe cel ce nu este din lemn!»
