T hen they hammered out gold sheets and cut them into threads to be woven in with the blue and the purple and the scarlet material, and the fine linen, the work of a skillful workman.

And they beat the gold into thin plates, and cut it wires, to work it artistically into the blue, and into the purple, and into the scarlet, and into the byssus.
