N ow when Pharaoh had let the people go, God did not lead them by the way of the land of the Philistines, even though it was near; for God said, “ The people might change their minds when they see war, and return to Egypt.”

Cuando el faraón dejó ir a los israelitas, Dios no los llevó por el camino de la tierra de los filisteos, que estaba cerca; porque pensó: «No vaya a ser que haya guerra, y el pueblo se arrepienta de haber salido y se regrese a Egipto.»
