T hen the king stood in his place and made a covenant before the Lord to walk after the Lord, and to keep His commandments and His testimonies and His statutes with all his heart and with all his soul, to perform the words of the covenant written in this book.

Vua đứng tại chỗ mình, lập giao ước trước mặt Đức Giê-hô-va, hứa đi theo Đức Giê-hô-va, hết lòng hết ý gìn giữ các điều răn, chứng cớ, và luật lệ của Ngài, đặng làm trọn lời giao ước giao ước đã chép trong sách ấy.
