S o the king did not listen to the people, for it was a turn of events from God that the Lord might establish His word, which He spoke through Ahijah the Shilonite to Jeroboam the son of Nebat.

Astfel regele nu a ascultat plângerea poporului, fiindcă această întorsătură a lucrurilor venea de la Dumnezeu, pentru ca Domnul să-Şi împlinească cuvântul pe care îl rostise cu privire Ieroboam, fiul lui Nebat, prin Ahia din Şilo.
