A lso Hosah, one of the sons of Merari had sons: Shimri the first (although he was not the firstborn, his father made him first),

وَكانَ لِحُوسَةَ المِرارِيِّ أبْناءٌ: الرَّئِيسُ شِمْرِي. مَعَ أنَّهُ لَمْ يَكُنِ البِكْرَ، لَكِنَّ أباهُ جَعَلَهُ الرَّئِيسَ.
