T hen it happened in the spring, at the time when kings go out to battle, that Joab led out the army and ravaged the land of the sons of Ammon, and came and besieged Rabbah. But David stayed at Jerusalem. And Joab struck Rabbah and overthrew it.

Al año siguiente, en el tiempo en que suelen los reyes salir a la guerra, Joab sacó las fuerzas del ejército y destruyó la tierra de los amonitas. Luego fue y sitió a Rabá, mientras David estaba en Jerusalén. Joab atacó a Rabá y la destruyó.
