N ow the king appointed the royal officer on whose hand he leaned to have charge of the gate; but the people trampled on him at the gate, and he died just as the man of God had said, who spoke when the king came down to him.

Împăratul încredinţase paza porţii în mîna călăreţului pe braţul căruia se rezemase atunci. Dar călăreţul acesta a fost călcat în picioare de popor la poartă şi a murit, după cuvîntul pe care -l rostise omul lui Dumnezeu, cînd se pogorîse împăratul la el.
