T he king stood by the pillar and made a covenant before the Lord, to walk after the Lord, and to keep His commandments and His testimonies and His statutes with all his heart and all his soul, to carry out the words of this covenant that were written in this book. Y poniéndose el rey en pie junto a la columna, hizo pacto delante de Jehová, de que irían en pos de Jehová, y guardarían sus mandamientos, sus testimonios y sus estatutos, con todo el corazón y con toda el alma, y que cumplirían las palabras del pacto que estaban escritas en aquel libro.
